End Career Politicians Hold on Washington-
Establish Term Limits

First and foremost I believe a majority of Americans are of the understanding that our Government of The People has become a government of career politicians who are disconnected with the everyday ordinary Americans who work paycheck-to-paycheck. Politicians have no idea what Americans experience on a day-to-day basis. I believe Congress should enact legislation that prohibits Congressional Leaders to stay in office for more than 12 years. If the American People wouldn’t allow our President to stay in Washington for more than 8 years, why in God’s Name are we allowing Congressional and Senate leaders to stay in Washington for life?

I am Pro Life and Pro Family

I believe life begins at conception for I know in my heart God does not make mistakes. The “right” to kill anyone or terminate a pregnancy at any stage in development goes against God’s Divine Decrees for humanity. Period. As a young man just out of high school, I experienced the horrors of abortion when I due to my lack of knowledge agreed to allow a person I was seeing to have an abortion. For years I have been haunted by the fact that my great country did not educate me of the life-long pain I have felt due to my lost fatherhood. We should do more as a country to educate the young men and women of this life-long tragedy of killing a baby due to selfish reasons focusing on the beauty and right to stay pure for their future spouse.

I am Pro Family as defined by Biblical teachings that the “Covenant of Marriage” is a “Sacrament” instilled in humanity by God’s Divine Teachings. The Church teaches “God, by His infinite wisdom and love, brings into existence all of reality as a reflection of His goodness. He fashions mankind, male and female, in His own image and likeness. Human beings, therefore, are nothing less than the work of God Himself; and in the complementary of the sexes, they are called to reflect the inner unity of the Creator. To be obedient to the LORD celebrates this Divine Plan of all mankind in the life-giving union of men and women in the sacrament of marriage.”

I believe judgment of one’s personal interests and desires should be left to God to decide. I follow and agree with the Church’s Teachings that all human beings deserve the right afforded to each by the Constitution of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The Church teaches “it is deplorable that homosexual persons have been and are the object of violent malice in speech or in action. Such treatment deserves condemnation from the Church’s pastors wherever it occurs. It reveals a kind of disregard for others which endangers the most fundamental principles of a healthy society. The intrinsic dignity of each person must always be respected in word, in action and in law.”

Therefore, I believe people who choose a homosexual lifestyle should be prayed for fervently and be allowed the opportunity to enjoy the freedoms of choice given by the laws of our great country but they cannot be allowed by God’s Divine Plan to enter into a “Covenant of Marriage.”

Education Reform

As a school teacher, I firmly believe every child in America deserves access to a quality education and I am committed to giving teachers and parents the materials they need to help students achieve life-long learning. I know in my heart the “No Child Left Behind Act” was well-intended but I have experienced first-hand what “NCLB” has created in a classroom environment of “teaching to the test” and this approach to education does not promote learning for every student. Now we have Common Core to deal with leaving us teachers wondering who really created this test taking culture of ridiculousness.

I think we should dedicate the excessive amounts of money awarded to companies creating education for their own benefit and use the money to enhance “Real World Learning” preparing our children to be a part of a workforce or military that makes America Strong. We have stressed our children to the point of shutting down wanting nothing to do with the real joy and love of learning.

As a Montessori Teacher, I understand that the environment of the classroom must not be predictable allowing a child’s interest in learning to be strengthened overcoming the boredom scene in high school dropouts across America. I believe we should allow children to grow at their own abilities and understanding to accomplish a love of learning driving out fears laden in children who are pushed too hard too fast. Today’s benchmarks for children in every state of our great union has upped the standards of early aged elementary to high school education which will ultimately cause children to dislike learning hurting their chances of lifelong success.

Preserving Social Security and Medicare

We have to cut government spending – but not by breaking the contracts we’ve made with everybody who pays into Social Security and Medicare. We must seek alternatives that reinforce Medicare and calm the fears of all Americans especially the elderly when it comes to keeping Medicare sound and secure forever.

Veterans Affairs

As a US navy Veteran, I believe I have a complete understanding of how imperative it is that America’s military men and women receive the support they deserve for the sacrifices they have made. All members past and present of the Armed Forces have fought to preserve the freedoms we cherish and I believe Congress must be resolute in honoring our commitment to them. America I believe would benefit from a mandatory country service of two years allowing our culture of defiance and disrespect brought back to a culture of freedom by taught respect for God and Country. As your congressional representative, I will tirelessly work to alleviate VA bureaucratic procedures improve communications between the Department of Defense and the VA and strengthen the process for returning soldiers transitioning into the VA health care system. It is also very important of increasing accessibility to health care for our veterans who live far away from VA medical centers.

Energy Independence

Energy reform is perhaps one of the most critical issues facing Congress as Americans pay high prices at the pump day after day, and our dependence on foreign oil continues to threaten our national security. I believe it is imperative we look for real solutions to lower gas prices for American families and increase domestic energy production to break our dependency on foreign sources of oil.

Agriculture

The agricultural industry plays a vital role in bolstering our economy both in Florida and across the country. Ensuring America’s agricultural strength remains strong and prosperous is essential to the future of our nation.

Health Care Reform

All Americans should have access to quality, affordable health care. Many individuals find health insurance to be unattainable, unavailable, and unaffordable. With health care costs rising and unemployment escalating, it is more important than ever to address the issue of the uninsured but I do not believe Obamacare was the correct way of going about it. We need to take a long hard look at healthcare for America and establish a solution that is agreeable to everyone including Congressional Leaders who should be the first to accept government healthcare instead of taking a private approach to healthcare they utilize now.

Homeland Security

The United States has been blessed with a dedicated military which can and will defend our nation’s security and preserve the freedoms each American enjoys. I support their efforts to combat terrorism, to ensure the security of our country, and to establish democracy in other parts of the world.

Immigration

The United States is a nation founded by immigrants and prides itself on the principles of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Obtaining the “American Dream” is an inherent part of our nation’s spirit and we should encourage those who enter our country legally to achieve it. However, we are also a nation founded on the rule of law and we must ensure U.S. immigration laws are respected and enforced to preserve our national security; protect federal, state, and local budgets; and curb unfair strain on our country’s job markets. People who approach our immigration system legally and work through the established process should be welcomed. However, any proposal for reform must not reward those who choose to break our laws by entering the country illegally giving them a free ride at the tax payer’s expense.

Taxes

Taxes are simply too high and American families have less money to spend on their priorities. Rather than taking money from the hands of the middle class to pay for a large, overbearing federal government, I believe in letting hard-working taxpayers keep more of what they earn. This would help strengthen our economy, stimulate job growth and force the government to make wiser spending decisions – all of which would benefit American families.

Wasteful Spending

Each year the federal government spends trillions of dollars, billions of which are wasted on duplicative, inefficient, or ineffective government-run programs. Congress simply must show the American people it is serious about protecting their hard-earned tax dollars and should adhere to more responsible budgeting.
