03-31-2026 Isaiah 49 v0107 My God Is Now My Strength

The Letter of Isaiah Chapter 49 Verse One thru Seven

1 Hear me, coastlands, listen, distant peoples. Before birth the LORD called me, from my mother’s womb he gave me my name. 2 He made my mouth like a sharp-edged sword, concealed me, shielded by his hand. He made me a sharpened arrow; in his quiver he hid me. 3 He said to me, You are my servant, in you, Israel, I show my glory. 4 Though I thought I had toiled in vain, for nothing and for naught spent my strength, Yet my right is with the LORD, my recompense is with my God. 5 For now the LORD has spoken who formed me as his servant from the womb, That Jacob may be brought back to him and Israel gathered to him; I am honored in the sight of the LORD, and my God is now my strength! 6 It is too little, he says, for you to be my servant, to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and restore the survivors of Israel; I will make you a light to the nations, that my salvation may reach to the ends of the earth. 7 Thus says the LORD, the redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, To the one despised, abhorred by the nations, the slave of rulers: When kings see you, they shall stand up, and princes shall bow down Because of the LORD who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel who has chosen you.

Isaiah 49:1-7 is a profound passage that speaks of God’s servant, who is called to be a light not just for Israel but for all nations. This scripture powerfully illustrates the expansive reach of God’s salvation, epitomized in the person of Jesus Christ. The verses remind us that the call to salvation transcends borders; it extends to the ends of the Earth, inviting every person into a relationship with the Lord.

In these verses, we see how God’s servant is equipped with authority, yet he faces rejection and is often despised. This mirrors the life of Jesus, who, despite being the epitome of love and grace, encountered hostility and indifference. However, the promise remains steadfast: God’s salvation is universal. “I will also make you a light for the Gentiles,” God declares, a reassuring reminder that no one is outside His reach.

It is crucial to understand that no one is despised in God’s eyes; rather, He sees potential, worth, and beauty in every individual. The invitation to bow down before the Lord Almighty is not a message of condemnation but of hope and restoration. In surrendering to God, we find our true identity, purpose, and the transformative love that Jesus offers.

As we reflect on Isaiah 49:1-7, let us be reminded of the inclusive nature of God’s love. No matter one’s background or past, everyone is called to experience the grace of Jesus. Therefore, we ought to share this message of hope, encouraging others to bow down before the Lord and embrace the salvation that reaches to every corner of the Earth. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

03-31-2026 Isaiah 49 v0107

**My God Is Now My Strength**

In the shadow of time, a call resounds,

From distant shores, where hope abounds.

“Listen to me,” the nations are told,

A whisper of purpose, a story of old.

Born of the womb, His servant shall rise,

In the heart of His people, like stars in the skies.

He’s a light to the Gentiles, a beacon so bright,

To open the eyes, to bring forth His eternal light.

Through valleys of sorrow, through trials and strife,

He carries the burdens, He breathes right into life.

The outcast and captive, He’ll rescue with grace,

In the embrace of His love, they’ll find their place.

Yet weary He walks, this chosen one bold,

For the mission of love is the treasure He holds.

Though kings may stand silent, and nations may mourn,

His glory will rise, like the sun at the dawn.

So sing, O heavens, and rejoice, O Earth,

For in every heart, there’s a promise of worth.

To gather the broken, to heal all the pain,

In the arms of the Savior, our hope shall remain.

To be a true servant, as Isaiah foretold,

A testimony of grace in the stories retold.

For in every life’s journey, both humble and grand,

The love of the Father will ever withstand. Amen.
