The Gospel of Luke Chapter 6 Verse 36 thru 38

36 Be merciful, just as [also] your Father is merciful. 37 “Stop judging and you will not be judged. Stop condemning and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven. 38 Give and gifts will be given to you; a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing, will be poured into your lap. For the measure with which you measure will in return be measured out to you.”

In Luke 6:36-38, Jesus calls us to embody profound principles of mercy, forgiveness, and generosity. “Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful,” we are reminded that divine love compels us to extend grace to others. This passage highlights the transformative power of forgiveness, emphasizing that even when we face rejection or denial from those closest to us—family members included—we are still called to love and forgive.

It’s easy to forge relationships with those who uplift us, but Jesus teaches us that true character shines through when we respond to negativity with kindness. Our capacity to forgive, particularly in the face of hurt from our loved ones, reflects the heart of God and showcases our faith. It demonstrates a radical love that transcends personal grievances and mirrors Christ’s love, which enables us to find peace amid strife.

Moreover, in verse 38, Christ invites us to give generously: “Give, and it will be given to you.” This principle extends beyond material gifts—it encompasses our grace, joy, and forgiveness. By offering these gifts freely, we participate in God’s abundant blessings. In sharing love and salvation, we let our light shine, becoming vessels through which others can witness the joy of faith.

The world often creates barriers that can lead to broken relationships, yet in these moments, we have the opportunity to display Christ’s joy. By choosing to extend forgiveness and joy, regardless of how we are treated, we intelligently invite others to experience the transformative power of salvation. Let us remember that every act of love is a testament to our faith, illuminating the path toward eternal joy found in Christ Jesus. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. NOVENA DAY NINE FOR THE REPOSE OF THE SOUL OF ROY WIGGINS. Novena Prayers Day SEVEN for John Williams in Hospice. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**Forgive And You Will Be Forgiven**

In the stillness of the heart’s embrace,

A call to love, a sacred grace,

“Be merciful,” the words do sing,

As the Father loves, let kindness spring.

Judge not with eyes that pierce and pry,

For in our flaws, we too may cry,

Forgive, release, let burdens cease,

In mercy’s light, find sweet release.

With measure full, a generous hand,

As rivers flow to meet the land,

The kindness that we share, we’ll see,

Returning back in abundance for free.

So let us give, let love outpour,

For in each heart, there lies a door,

To share the warmth, to lift the weight,

In endless grace, we cultivate.

As wealth of spirit grows and thrives,

With every act, our goodness drives,

In all we do, let love’s tide swell,

For in our giving, all is well. Amen.
