The Gospel of Mark Chapter 7 Verse 24 thru 30

24 From that place he went off to the district of Tyre. He entered a house and wanted no one to know about it, but he could not escape notice. 25 Soon a woman whose daughter had an unclean spirit heard about him. She came and fell at his feet. 26 The woman was a Greek, a Syrophoenician by birth, and she begged him to drive the demon out of her daughter. 27 He said to her, “Let the children be fed first. For it is not right to take the food of the children and throw it to the dogs.” 28 She replied and said to him, “Lord, even the dogs under the table eat the children’s scraps.” 29 Then he said to her, “For saying this, you may go. The demon has gone out of your daughter.” 30 When the woman went home, she found the child lying in bed and the demon gone.

In Mark 7:24-30, we encounter a powerful narrative that illustrates the profound grace of Jesus and His authority over demonic forces. Jesus withdraws to the region of Tyre, seeking solitude, but His reputation precedes Him. A Syrophoenician woman, desperate for help, approaches Him, pleading for mercy for her daughter who is tormented by an unclean spirit. This story is a poignant reminder of the fierce determination of faith and the limitations of cultural boundaries in the face of divine grace.

Initially, Jesus responds seemingly harshly, stating that it is not right to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs. Yet, the woman, undeterred, responds with humility, acknowledging the truth in Jesus’ words while simultaneously asserting her faith in His ability to save. Her reply, “Even the dogs under the table eat the children’s scraps,” reflects her deeper understanding of who Jesus is—not just a healer for the chosen people, but a Savior for all.

Jesus commends her faith and grants her request, declaring that the demon has left her daughter. This encounter illustrates a vital truth: demons will flee in the presence of Jesus, empowered by our faith in Him. No sin, no torment, no stronghold is beyond His reach.

As believers, we are reminded that through our faith in Jesus, we are granted access to His unbounded grace, which triumphs over all sin and darkness. Let us approach Him with the same fervor and tenacity, knowing that by His name, every chain can be broken, every struggle can be overcome. Trust in His ability to provide grace that conquers, and let your faith be unwavering. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. Novena Day Six for the love of James. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

02-12-2026 Mark 7 v2430

**Let The Children Be Fed First**

In Tyre’s embrace, a journey unfolds,

A weary heart seeks healing, brave and bold.

A woman approaches, with faith in her plea,

Her daughter tormented, bound by unseen decree.

She cries to the Savior, “Please hear my lament,

A gentile by birth, yet my heart is intent.

O Lord, cast out demons, release her from pain,

Though crumbs may be all, I’ll not plead in vain.”

His words are a challenge, a test of her grace,

“Is it right to take children’s bread, from their place?”

Yet wisdom ignites in her humble reply,

“For even the dogs eat the crumbs when they fall and cry.”

Her faith, like a lighthouse, shines bright in the night,

A beacon for hope, amid darkness and fright.

The Master responds, with compassion so grand,

“Your daughter is healed; go home, believe My Command.”

In distant lands echo this tale of belief,

Of a mother’s fierce love, and the gift of relief.

For faith knows no borders, no titles or names,

In the heart of the humble, true healing inflames. Amen.
