The Gospel of Mark Chapter 3 Verse 7 thru 12
7 Jesus withdrew toward the sea with his disciples. A large number of people [followed] from Galilee and from Judea. 8 Hearing what he was doing, a large number of people came to him also from Jerusalem, from Idumea, from beyond the Jordan, and from the neighborhood of Tyre and Sidon. 9 He told his disciples to have a boat ready for him because of the crowd, so that they would not crush him. 10 He had cured many and, as a result, those who had diseases were pressing upon him to touch him. 11 And whenever unclean spirits saw him they would fall down before him and shout, “You are the Son of God.” 12 He warned them sternly not to make him known.
Mark 3:7-12 recounts a compelling moment in Jesus’ ministry where the crowds, drawn by His miraculous works, began to follow Him fervently. As Jesus withdrew to the sea, a multitude from various regions gathered, eager for healing and hope. The scripture highlights the profound impact of His presence, as people with diverse ailments sought Him out. Notably, even unclean spirits recognized Jesus’ identity; they fell before Him, proclaiming Him as the Son of God. This acknowledgment is powerful, emphasizing that even the spiritual realms cannot deny His divine authority.
In this passage, we see a vivid portrayal of Jesus’ compassion and power. His miraculous healings and the crowds’ desperate need reveal the depth of His mission: to restore and redeem humanity. The demons’ acknowledgment of Him as the Son of God brings to light the tension between those who embraced Him and those who opposed His ministry. They recognized His authority, yet many chose to reject the implications of that truth.
As we reflect on these verses, it becomes essential to ask ourselves: When did you recognize Jesus as the Son of God? When did you first see Him not just as a historical figure, but as the Savior of the world? This personal encounter transforms our understanding and relationship with Him. It is in recognizing His divinity that we find hope, healing, and purpose. Just as the crowds sought Jesus for their physical needs, we too are invited to seek Him for the deepest longings of our souls. May we be open to that recognition, allowing it to shape our lives and faith. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**You Are The Son of God**
In sunlit shores where shadows blend,
A throng of hearts in need to mend,
With hope and longing in their eyes,
They seek the healer, wiser than wise.
From distant lands, through pain and strife,
The sick, the troubled, craving life,
They press around, a fervent mass,
To touch his cloak, their fears to pass.
The spirits churn, with whispers low,
“Who’s this man where healing Spirits flow?”
Yet silence reigns, for truth is near,
As demons tremble, gripped by fear.
He knows their names, their secrets kept,
With gentle love, he gently wept.
The crowd, they clamored, filled with need,
In every heart, he planted His seed.
“Be quiet now,” he bids them hush,
His touch brings calm, a sacred rush.
With every healing, hope adored,
In Jesus’ name, the world restored. Amen.
