12-14-2025 Matthew 11 v0206 Blessed Is the One Who Takes No Offense at Me
The Gospel of Matthew Ch 11 Verse Two Thru Six
2 When John heard in prison of the works of the Messiah, he sent his disciples to him 3 with this question, “Are you the one who is to come, or should we look for another?” 4 Jesus said to them in reply, “Go and tell John what you hear and see: 5 the blind regain their sight, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor have the good news proclaimed to them. 6 And blessed is the one who takes no offense at me.”
In Matthew 11:2-6, we find John the Baptist in prison, sending his disciples to inquire if Jesus is indeed the Messiah. Jesus responds not with a mere affirmation but by pointing to the tangible signs of His ministry—blind seeing, lame walking, and the good news preached to the poor. His final statement, “Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me,” challenges each of us to reflect on our own faith.
As readers, we must ask ourselves: What is the foundation of our belief? Do we believe in Jesus because we are captivated by His miracles and the astounding acts He performed, or do we believe because He has truly touched our hearts and souls with the message of redemption? Authentic faith transcends mere signs and wonders; it is anchored in a deep, personal relationship with Christ that brings about transformation.
The world often elevates the pursuit of miraculous signs, but genuine discipleship calls for deeper introspection. Have we surrendered our lives to Jesus, recognizing that true fulfillment lies in the redemptive work of the cross? The path of faith is not without its challenges. Jesus tells us that those who follow Him may face offense, and one might ask: Do we take offense at Jesus when His ways don’t align with our expectations or desires?
This passage invites us to courageously evaluate our relationship with Jesus. Are we seeking Him for what He can do for us or for who He truly is? Let us strive for a faith that deeply resonates within our hearts and souls, surrendering our lives for the greater purpose of His glory. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20
12-14-2025 Matthew 11 v0206
**Blessed Is the One Who Takes No Offense at Me**
In prison dark, where shadows creep,
John heard of deeds both bold and deep.
He sent his friends to seek the truth,
To find the One, from his whispered youth.
“Are You the One, or should we seek
Another light, another peak?”
In waiting chains, his spirit strained,
He sought the promise, hope unchained.
They came to Jesus, seeking news,
In wonderment, their hearts totally infused.
He healed the blind, the lame now walk,
The lepers cleansed, in joy they talk.
The deaf now hear, the dead arise,
The poor have hope, their savior high.
“Go tell John what you have heard,
The blind see light, the mute His word.
Blessed is he who won’t despair,
For faith in Me, the truth will bare.”
In every miracle, His love displayed,
In every heart, His grace conveyed. Amen.
