12-12-2025 Revelation 11 v19a; 12:1-6a, 10ab Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe

The Book of Revelation Ch 11 Verse 19 Ch 12 Verses 1-6a, 10ab

19 Then God’s temple in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant could be seen in the temple. There were flashes of lightning, rumblings, and peals of thunder, an earthquake, and a violent hailstorm. 1 A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. 2 She was with child and wailed aloud in pain as she labored to give birth. 3 Then another sign appeared in the sky; it was a huge red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and on its heads were seven diadems. 4 Its tail swept away a third of the stars in the sky and hurled them down to the earth. Then the dragon stood before the woman about to give birth, to devour her child when she gave birth. 5 She gave birth to a son, a male child, destined to rule all the nations with an iron rod. Her child was caught up to God and his throne. 6 The woman herself fled into the desert where she had a place prepared by God, 10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have salvation and power come, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Anointed. For the accuser of our brothers is cast out, who accuses them before our God day and night.

Today, as we celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, we are reminded of the profound message of hope and victory found in Revelation 11:19 and Chapter 12:1-10. In these verses, we witness the majestic representation of God’s presence, symbolized by the opening of the temple in heaven and the appearance of the woman clothed with the sun, adorned with stars and standing on the moon. This imagery beautifully resonates with the figure of Our Lady of Guadalupe, who appeared to the indigenous Mexican Juan Diego in 1531, bringing a message of love, unity, and divine grace.

Our Lady of Guadalupe carried a transformative impact on Mexico, a nation that faced deep cultural and spiritual upheaval during her apparition. She not only affirmed the dignity of the indigenous people but also bridged various cultures, bringing together the Spanish colonizers and the native populations. Her embrace of both cultures symbolizes the powerful reality of the woman in Revelation, who gives birth to hope and salvation, ultimately leading to the triumph over darkness and despair.

In Revelation, we are reminded of the cosmic struggle between good and evil, which mirrors the historical context of Our Lady’s apparition. Her image, mirroring the woman robed in the sun, serves as a beacon, guiding her children towards faith and reclamation of identity. The outpouring of devotion towards her has resulted in millions of conversions and a deep-rooted Catholic identity that remains strong in Mexico today.

As we honor Our Lady of Guadalupe, let us reflect on her role as a protector and intercessor, represented by the woman in Revelation who is depicted battling the serpent. Through her, we find strength to confront our challenges, and the grace needed to foster unity and love in our communities. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

12-12-2025 Revelation 11 v19a; 12:1-6a, 10ab

**Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe**

In the cool morning mist, a vision unfolds,

A tapestry woven with stories untold,

On this sacred day, beneath sun’s gentle light,

We gather in reverence, our spirits in flight.

With roses in hand, and hearts filled with grace,

We honor the Mother, our loving embrace.

Her mantle of stars, a celestial cloak,

A symbol of hope, of the words that she spoke.

From Tepeyac’s hillside, her message rang clear,

To the faithful, the humble, she draws ever near.

Embrace of compassion, a mother’s warm plea,

In her eyes we find solace, in her love, we are free.

Her portrait adorned with the moon at her feet,

A beacon of mercy, her presence so sweet.

With every petition, each tear that we shed,

She carries our burdens, our sorrows, our dread.

In the heart of our people, her spirit ignites,

A fusion of cultures, where faith takes its flights.

From valleys to mountains, her blessings extend,

Uniting all nations, in love that won’t end.

So today, let us gather, with voices as one,

To honor our Lady, our morning, our sun.

With song and with prayer, we celebrate thee,

Our Lady of Guadalupe, forever we’ll be.

In the warmth of her wisdom, together we stand,

Hand in hand, side by side, in this vibrant land.

With every devotion, our hearts she’s entwined,

In the glow of her presence, true peace we will find.

O Mother of mercy, protectress divine,

In your light we shall flourish, in your grace we align.

As we feast in your honor, our voices ascend,

To Our Lady of Guadalupe, our love without end. Amen.
