12-05-2025 Isaiah 29 v1724 Those Who Err in Spirit Shall Acquire Understanding

The Book of Isaiah Chapter 29 Verse 17 thru 24

17 Surely, in a very little while, Lebanon shall be changed into an orchard, and the orchard be considered a forest! 18 On that day the deaf shall hear the words of a scroll; And out of gloom and darkness, the eyes of the blind shall see. 19 The lowly shall again find joy in the LORD, the poorest rejoice in the Holy One of Israel. 20 For the tyrant shall be no more, the scoffer shall cease to be; All who are ready for evil shall be cut off, 21 those who condemn with a mere word, Who ensnare the defender at the gate, and leave the just with an empty claim. 22 Therefore thus says the LORD, the God of the house of Jacob, who redeemed Abraham: No longer shall Jacob be ashamed, no longer shall his face grow pale. 23 For when his children see the work of my hands in his midst, They shall sanctify my name; they shall sanctify the Holy One of Jacob be in awe of the God of Israel. 24 Those who err in spirit shall acquire understanding, those who find fault shall receive instruction.

Isaiah 29:17-24 is a profound passage that emphasizes God’s redemptive power and the transformative nature of His love. In these verses, the Lord assures His people that they will see a reversal of their circumstances and an awakening from spiritual blindness. The promise that Lebanon will turn into a fruitful field signifies a restoration that transcends mere physicality; it symbolizes a deeper, spiritual renewal. This fulfillment of God’s redemption lies at the heart of the passage.

As we reflect on this, we recognize that God’s truth is boundless and transcends human understanding. When we embrace His love, faith, and hope of salvation, we can experience a profound comprehension that surpasses all worldly peace. This transcendent peace is a gift from God, allowing us to navigate the challenges of life with assurance and grace, knowing that our redemption is rooted in His unwavering character.

The text also addresses the foolishness of the worldly perspective, pointing out that those who rely solely on human wisdom will find themselves in a pitiful state. In contrast, God’s truth liberates us from the shackles of sin, guiding us toward a path of righteousness. It is through God’s enduring love that we are empowered to overcome sin and experience restoration in our lives.

Ultimately, Isaiah 29:17-24 reassures us that God is actively working in our lives, leading us toward a fuller understanding of His purpose. As we lean into His promises, we find that truth is expressed not just in knowledge but in the lived experience of His love and grace. In doing so, we allow His name to be glorified and we walk in the hope that transforms our experience of peace. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. Day Nine Novena for Repose of the Soul John Jeffries. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**Those Who Err in Spirit Shall Acquire Understanding**

In the land of shadows, a vision awakes,

Where the deaf shall hear and the blind will partake.

From the dust, the humble shall arise,

And the proud shall be humbled, stripped of their lies.

“Is it not yet a little while?” echoes in the air,

As Lebanon’s glory turns barren and bare.

What once stood tall in its fragrant pride,

Now yields to the truth where deception must hide.

For the heart that was heedless now learns to rejoice,

In the whispers of wisdom, we hear the soft voice.

The lost among nations, who wandered afar,

Will gather together, guided by grace’s bright star.

The meek shall find solace, the weary will rest,

In the arms of the promised, the faithful, the blessed.

With a song in the silence, the stammerers sing,

As the world turns in wonder to welcome its King.

Transformations unfurl in the depths of the soul,

Where the broken are mended, and shadows made whole.

From ashes to life, in the eyes of the blind,

The marvels of mercy will open the mind.

So hear, O dear hearers, the vision unfold,

In the heart of the humble, a story retold.

For the end of the struggle is birthed from the strife,

As the promise of hope breathes a new life. Amen.
