12-02-2025 Luke 10 v2124 Blessed Are The Eyes That See What You See
The Gospel of Luke Chapter 10 Verse 21 thru 24
21 At that very moment he rejoiced [in] the holy Spirit and said, “I give you praise, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike. Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will. 22 All things have been handed over to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him.” 23 Turning to the disciples in private he said, “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see. 24 For I say to you, many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, but did not see it, and to hear what you hear, but did not hear it.”
In Luke 10:21-24, we see a profound moment where Jesus rejoices in the Holy Spirit, praising God for revealing truths to the humble and childlike, while concealing them from the wise and learned. This passage emphasizes the essence of faith that mirrors the innocence and openness of a child. Jesus declares, “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see,” highlighting that those who embrace their faith with a pure heart are truly fortunate.
To experience the Holy Spirit as Jesus describes, we must cultivate a love that is simple and genuine, akin to that of a child. Children approach the world with wonder, trust, and an unabashed acceptance of love. They are not burdened by pretense or the weight of their own wisdom. In this simplicity, we too can discover the fullness of God’s goodness and grace.
When we love like a child, we create space for the Holy Spirit to work within us. This divine presence fills us with joy, discernment, and understanding, allowing us to see the world through the lens of God’s love. As we engage with others and express this childlike love, we are not just recipients of God’s blessings; we become conduits of His goodness, bringing light to those around us.
Jesus’ words remind us of the blessing inherent in embracing such a perspective. As we navigate the complexities of life, let us strive to embody that childlike love, ensuring our “eyes” remain open to the divine revelations and the transformative power of the Holy Spirit. In doing so, we not only enrich our lives but also spread the love of Christ, illuminating the paths of others. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. **Blessed Are The Eyes That See What You See**
In joyful praise, the Spirit’s light,
Revealed to those of humble plight,
The wise and learned do not see,
Yet little ones in faith are eternally set free.
“Blessed are eyes that truly see,”
He spoke of grace and mystery,
The hidden truth, a gift bestowed,
In simple hearts, His love would grow.
To glimpse the joy the prophets sought,
What treasures time and faith have brought,
For those who know the heart’s sweet call,
In Christ, the Savior, love for all.
So let us dance in truth’s embrace,
With every joy and every grace,
For hidden secrets, now made clear,
In Christ’s own light, we persevere. Amen.
