The Letter to the Romans Chapter 14 Verse 7 thru 12

7 None of us lives for oneself, and no one dies for oneself. 8 For if we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord; so then, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. 9 For this is why Christ died and came to life, that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living. 10 Why then do you judge your brother? Or you, why do you look down on your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of God; 11 for it is written: “As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bend before me, and every tongue shall give praise to God.” 12 So [then] each of us shall give an account of himself [to God].

Romans 14:7-12 reminds us of a profound truth: our lives are not lived in isolation. The Apostle Paul emphasizes that every individual is accountable to God, urging believers to understand the importance of their choices and actions. He writes, “For none of us lives for ourselves alone, and none of us dies for ourselves alone.” This vital verse sets the stage for a deeper reflection on our responsibilities towards one another and, ultimately, toward God.

In these verses, Paul highlights that “we will all stand before God’s judgment seat.” Each of us will face an account of our lives, where our thoughts, deeds, and choices will be laid bare before the Creator. This moment is significant; no one can escape this divine assessment. It serves as a reminder that our lives have purpose and meaning, intricately woven into God’s greater plan.

Moreover, Paul emphasizes that judgment hinges on our relationship with Jesus Christ. It is through confession of faith in Him as Lord and Savior that we receive the promise of eternal life. John 3:16 reinforces this message, assuring those who believe in Jesus will not perish but will have everlasting life. Therefore, the call to confess Jesus is not just a plea for acknowledgment but an invitation to enter into a transformative relationship that leads to salvation.

As we reflect on Romans 14:7-12, let us consider the weight of our choices and the impact of our lives on others. Each decision reverberates within our communities, and each word we speak can either uplift or tear down. In light of this accountability, may we be encouraged to live diligently for Christ, knowing that our lives are a testimony of faith.

Ultimately, it is through Jesus that we find reconciliation with God and the promise of life eternal. In acknowledging Him as our Savior, we not only prepare ourselves for judgment but also become beacons of hope to a world in need. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**Each of Us Will Give An Account to God**

In shadowed halls where choices dwell,

For none in silence, all must tell.

We tread the path of heart and soul,

Can claim the earth, nor claim the goal.

Each living breath we share, a gift,

To lift the weary, hearts to lift.

In every step, a truth bestowed,

In love’s embrace, we share the load.

We stand together, each a part,

No judgment cast, nor spiteful dart.

In unity, our spirits rise,

For every life a worth surprise.

For as we live, to Him we owe,

In all we do, His love will show.

The Lord, our guide, who knows our name,

In light and grace, we fan the flame.

So let us walk, each day anew,

In freedom’s dance, our faith rings true.

With kindness sown in every heart,

For in His gaze, we each play our part. Amen.
