10-29-2025 Romans 8 v2631 If God is For Us Who Can Be Against Us?
The Letter to the Romans Chapter 8 Verse 26 thru 31
26 In the same way, the Spirit too comes to the aid of our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit itself intercedes with inexpressible groanings. 27 And the one who searches hearts knows what is the intention of the Spirit, because it intercedes for the holy ones according to God’s will. 28 We know that all things work for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose. 29 For those he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, so that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30 And those he predestined he also called; and those he called he also justified; and those he justified he also glorified. 31 What then shall we say to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?”
In Romans 8:26-31, the Apostle Paul reveals profound truths about the nature of our relationship with God. He assures us that, even in our weakness, the Holy Spirit intercedes for us, praying for our needs in ways we cannot express. This beautiful promise emphasizes that we are never alone in our struggles; God is actively working on our behalf, guiding and strengthening us through life’s challenges.
Paul goes on to remind us of a powerful truth: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28). This verse is a striking declaration of faith, calling us to trust that God orchestrates every aspect of our lives for our ultimate good. Even when we face trials, setbacks, or moments of doubt, we can rest assured that God is weaving a tapestry of hope and purpose.
The scripture culminates in a profound assurance: “If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31). This rhetorical question serves as a powerful reminder of God’s unwavering support for those who seek Him. When we find ourselves confronting challenges or feeling overwhelmed, we can take solace in the fact that the Creator of the universe stands by our side. His love and protection embolden us to face any adversity.
As we reflect on these verses, let us grasp the enormity of God’s promise—that all things work together for our good and that we are secure in His loving presence. With this truth, we can move forward with confidence, knowing that with God on our side, nothing can truly stand against us. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

**If God is For Us Who Can Be Against Us?**
In our weakness, the Spirit knows,
With sighs too deep for words to show,
When burdens weigh and hearts feel torn,
In silent prayers, our hope reborn.
Amidst the trials, we’re not alone,
The Spirit’s intercession is always shown,
For in our cries, He comes to dwell,
In every tear, His love will tell.
That all things work for good, the promise stands,
By God’s design, with gentle hands,
He shapes our paths, through strife and bliss,
In every trial, His purpose we will kiss.
Chosen and called, we’re never lost,
The echo of grace, no matter the cost,
In Christ, we stand, not bound by fear,
With every step, His presence near.
What can separate? Not death, nor life,
No angels, nor powers, nor earthly strife,
With love that conquers, we boldly claim,
In Him, we rise, forever the same.
So let us trust in the Spirit’s call,
Though storms may rise, He’ll lift us all,
For in God’s heart, our futures are spun,
He’s for us, in us, for we are one. Amen.
