God is no longer the Sunday visit but the moment-by-moment commitment God intended humanity to be.

Free those who through fear of death had been subject to slavery all their life. Hebrews 2:15

The child grew and became strong, filled with wisdom; and the favor of God was upon Him. Luke 2:40

Malachi 3:1-4, Psalm 24, Hebrews 2:14-18 & Luke 2:22-40

Today I lay welcome to the Emmaus Men’s group of January 2013 who by now two weeks after are wondering what it’ll take in their lives to be “filled with wisdom” after an amazing heart-felt weekend of God’s Holy Spirit anointing them as Children of God to overcome and “free those who through fear of death had been subject to slavery all their life.” Now you’ve come to realize how real Jesus Christ can be in your life and what it means to truly serve His people. The people you live with just as much as the people you work with or encounter in your daily lives where angels deliver God’s graces beyond your wildest imaginations.

I like many of you craved God even more after my Emmaus and I learned to accomplish the Will of God first and foremost by practice of reading your Bible daily. Don’t be afraid to open The Word or take a Scriptural course on God’s Truth as you learn to make it a “practice” in your life. We learned early in life we must practice what we want to master and understand it even more. In your practice we learn how to pray to God continually offering up your life as a testimony of having faith, sharing hope and giving love. God is no longer the Sunday visit but the moment-by-moment commitment God intended humanity to be.

Here we learn to experience God’s Divine Will in charity by serving to overcome all fear and live surrendered proclaiming the Good News not so much by words but by literal unembellished repentance relishing the act of faith, the act of hope and the act of love to know the act of charity. Don’t be fooled into thinking charity means money. Nope. It means love. It means God’s hands and feet to share the Gospel serving others more than yourself.

Finding the Way to serve God every second of our lives means you practice, pray and as importantly proclaim not so much by words but by living surrendered to living in Truth. Don’t separate the grace you feel from God by living in sin. Find a way to practice, pray and proclaim and you too will be “filled with wisdom” steering your life, your family and your friends to know Jesus Christ as your guide. I pray we can do this together here in brevity as I share the Bible and Scripture poetry daily between four and six am. Share your prayer requests and seek spiritual counseling to find “the favor of God” in the midst of turmoil as well as celebration and live as God intended: “Free.” Amen.

We ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today to be free of slavery seeking Your favor in Truth. Welcome prayers to the new Emmaus Brothers of St Louis January 2013. Praying for the Emmaus Team of South Carolina. Praying for Kairos Prison Ministry. Prayers for Dr. Cruz-Peluca. We pray for Greg Bishop’s healing. LORD, we thank You for giving us love and guiding us to charity. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Yours in Christ,

The Favor of God grew with the Child of Wisdom– Luke 2:22-40

Moses’ law of purification sent

Joseph and Mary to repent

Presenting the baby in God’s tent

Simeon will surely soon get to vent

Righteous and devout a life well spent

Holy Spirit revealed the Christ of the LORD content

Before death he would truly lent

His desire to see the Salvation circumvent

The glory was upon the child

Destined for the fall of the vile

More blood than can fill the Nile

Deliverance from sin in denial

Father and mother were amazed

Being told of swords piercing hearts dazed

Revealing hearts of thoughts to maze

The fall or rise of sin’s craze?

A Prophetess named Anna was dazed

Eighty-four years left in a haze

Fasting and prayer all of her days

Thanks to God telling peoples she began to rave

To all awaiting Israel’s redemption

The parents had fulfilled all law’s prescriptions

Returning to Galilee and Nazareth’s condition

The Favor of God grew with the Child of wisdom
