Die only the One they didn’t understand
10 Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it, struck the high priest’s slave, and cut off his right ear. The slave’s name was Malchus. 11 Jesus said to Peter, “Put your sword into its scabbard. Shall I not drink the cup* that the Father gave me?” 12 So the band of soldiers, the tribune, and the Jewish guards seized Jesus, bound him,13and brought him to Annas first. He was the father-in-law of Caiaphas, who was high priest that year. 14 It was Caiaphas who had counseled the Jews that it was better that one man should die rather than the people. John 18:10-14
9 He will not always accuse, and nurses no lasting anger; 10 He has not dealt with us as our sins merit, nor requited us as our wrongs deserve. Psalm 103:9-10
With the slaves in here on the ground blood dripping from the side of his face the high priest’s servant learned the miracles of God after Simon Peter struck him in thoughts that he was defending his Lord and Savior. He learns that Jesus will never want us to fight with the sword for death by the sword is the ending you’ll receive as the calling signs of Jesus never ending desire to turn the other cheek.
The amazing thing about living in Salvation is this love you deserve with no lasting anger never will accuse by the merits of our sin as the request our wrongs deserve. No. Amen. Death of one man rather than many is truly considered as the reason it should happen yet the Lord’s death was to create an everlasting Redemption for each and every woman, child and man. Amen.
Join us in our daily prayer of forgiveness. I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and Rose for me. Novena Day Four for my brother-in-law Johnny and good friend Robert. IN Jesus Name. Amen.
